App Rescue & Maintenance

For apps abandoned by their original developer, breaking under iOS or Android updates, or at risk of being pulled from the App Store. We start with a fixed-price audit, so you know exactly what you're dealing with before committing to anything further.

Sound Familiar?

  • The developer who built your app is no longer reachable, or has stopped responding
  • The app worked fine until the latest iOS or Android update, and now something's broken
  • You've had a compliance warning, or your app has already been removed from the App Store
  • Nobody currently with your business actually understands how the app works

How It Works

  1. Fixed-price audit — a structured review of the codebase, architecture, and current state of the app: what's broken, what's at risk, and what it would take to fix.
  2. Fixes — once you've seen the audit, agree a fixed or milestone-based price for the specific fixes needed, with no surprise scope.
  3. Optional ongoing support — a monthly maintenance plan to keep the app working through future OS updates, instead of ending up back here again.

What It Costs

App audit / rescue assessment (fixed price) £500 – £1,000
Fixes Fixed or milestone price, agreed after the audit
Monthly support (optional, from Basic) From £250/month

App Rescue & Maintenance — Common Questions

Our original developer has disappeared — can you take over?

Yes. We regularly inherit applications with no original developer available, starting with a technical audit so you know what you're working with before committing to anything further.

What does the audit involve?

A structured review of the codebase, architecture, and current state of the app — what's broken, what's at risk, and what it would take to fix. Delivered as a fixed-price, written assessment before any further work is agreed.

Our app keeps breaking with iOS or Android updates — why?

Usually because it was built against an older SDK and never updated to track platform changes, or because dependencies it relies on fell out of maintenance. The audit identifies the specific cause rather than guessing.

What happens after the audit?

You decide. Some clients just want the written assessment; most move into fixed-scope fixes, and many then move onto one of our monthly maintenance plans so it doesn't happen again.

Can you prevent an app being removed from the App Store?

If it's heading for removal over a compliance or technical issue, we can usually resolve it before that happens — the sooner we're brought in, the more options there are.
